The NYC Pitt Club has awarded an annual scholarship to an incoming freshman from the NY metro area. This award focuses on the best and brightest students, and the award amount is matched by the University in years 2, 3 and 4.

2008 Scholarship Winner - Michael Kopecki
The 2008 NYC Pitt Club Scholarship has been awarded to Michael Kopecki of Niskayuna, NY. Michael is a graduate of Niskayuna High School is a well-rounded student, as shown by his grades and activities, and the NYC Pitt Club believes that he will contribute immensely to student life through his academic pursuits and anticipated participation in University events.

Michael plans to pursue a bioengineering major within the School of Engineering.
